RiptidesThe rush of tide overtook her toes, ankles, shins. She wore a long skirt and it and her tangled hair whipped in the rough wind. All was quiet except for the ocean and a few timid seagulls, landing in their nests as night finally fell. The in between of dark and light filled the sky around her, clouds streaking across the sky like paint spills. Her eyes remained closed and there was no indication of what she was feeling or thinking.  
The tide flowed higher, and her knees disappeared beneath it. Her skirt was soaked through all the way to the middle of her thighs, the spray slowly making its way through the dark fabric, turning it black. Riptides

Thanks for the comment. I still get bummed from time to time about not going, but that was many years ago, and now I am at a school I enjoy doing what I love, so things ended up working out. It's that last semester of High School that really makes you reflect upon the decisions you made, and the enviornment you're a product of. Enjoy the facilities to their highest extent, because DSA is a lot nicer than even most colleges.

oh good. what school?
i can't even put into words how glad i am to be at dsa.
i wasn't told i could attend until i had started a different school two weeks earlier. i replaced someone that never came back, and i'm thankful to that person for giving me this amazing opportunity. (:
